Trails: A source of jobs and respite for North Carolinians

More than ever, people are turning to the outdoors as a source of recreation, solace, and beauty. The Carolina Thread Trail provides all this and more to millions of people in the Carolina Piedmont, and we want to continue growing our system of trails and blueways for those people.
That’s why this week, we joined 24 other nonprofit organizations in writing to North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, as well as leadership at the North Carolina General Assembly, asking for trails and other outdoor resources to receive state funding. Read the full letter here.
